With thirty one agencies now operating in the FMIS Unit4, the project is tracking steadily towards deploying all agencies by the end of the 2025 financial year.
The Cook Islands Government has embarked on a journey to strengthen the management of public sector financial, budgetary, and accounting operations through the FMIS Project - an initiative driven by the Ministry of Finance and Economic Management to roll out a financial management information system (FMIS), called Unit4 BusinessWorld, across all government agencies, effectively bringing multiple disparate accounting systems and processes on to one CIG standardized platform.
